To answer this, we first wanted to know how investment industry professionals expect their firm to react to key trends in the near term, from tech adoption to investment strategies. And second, how do they perceive these trends?

Methodology

On this basis, Werk Insight, a B2B market research agency, interviewed 120 investment industry professionals to gauge if their firm plans to participate in investment industry trends in 2026, and whether they thought a trend was positive or negative for the industry.

At Werk Insight, we only collect data using computer-assisted telephone interviews (CATI) and video interviews – no online survey panels. All individuals included in this analysis were custom-recruited and validated to ensure that they make decisions on financial technology investments within their organization. These individuals:

  • Primarily work in wealth/portfolio management, financial data/tech infrastructure, or compliance roles.
  • Work at asset management, wealth management, or financial advisory firms with at least 50 employees.
  • Located in the United States or the United Kingdom.

The data was collected in Q3 2025 and individuals were compensated for their time.
