What we look for in a Market Research Manager

We are looking for a Market Research Manager to join our award-winning small B2B market research agency.

You will be someone who wants a hands-on role with significant responsibility for managing end-to-end quant and qual projects and successful client relationships.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include; designing research projects (discussion guides and questionnaires of the highest standard), planning and overseeing fieldwork, conducting qual interviews (optionally also focus groups), client/partner meetings, and report writing in PowerPoint (PPT). The latter is a significant responsibility for the position, and you will be expected to independently produce written deliverables of the highest quality in PPT. Exceptional written skills, grammar, and attention to detail are therefore core requirements for this role.

A high degree of ownership and initiative is important, as you will be responsible for the timely delivery of projects assigned to you, with the highest standard of deliverable expected by our clients.

You will be part of a fully remote team of experienced B2B market researchers. We maintain a culture focused on excellence in deliverables and client service, accountability, and offer exposure to a wide range of projects and industries.

Open to applicants currently based in Georgia or Tennessee. Some travel is required (~5%). You must be authorized to work in the US for any employer.

Core Responsibilities

  • Analysis of qualitative data (e.g., transcripts and recordings from interviews / focus groups).
  • Analysis and visualization of quantitative data (e.g., survey results)
  • Project management of multiple different types of research and consulting projects.
  • Ownership of project timelines, milestones and client communication.
  • Questionnaire- and project design (incl. questionnaires, discussion guides).
  • Qualitative interviewing & stakeholder consultations.
  • Qualitative storytelling (verbally and in writing).
  • Focus group moderation (virtual and in-person; training can be provided).
  • Client and vendor management.
  • Client presentations and strategic recommendations.
  • Support business development, marketing, and sales efforts.

Required Experience

  • Exceptional written skills, grammar, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with a new industry and complex products.
  • Ability to quickly collect, summarize and interpret large amounts of text or other data.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, vendors, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong data visualization skills using PowerPoint.
  • Strong Excel skills and knowledge of statistical methods like regression.
  • Experience with analysis software such as; Q, SPSS, Tableau, or Alteryx.
  • Experience with designing and managing a range of different project types (e.g., branding, pricing, segmentation).
  • Ability to design questionnaires from scratch for a range of project types with limited supervision.
  • Confident approach to conducting telephone/video interviews and client presentations.
  • Ability to clearly present complex insights to senior audiences in-person and virtually.
  • Ideally, experience with B2B market research or consulting.
